Sustainable Fashion, Small-Batch Tartan and Zero-Waste Design

When we founded Antana Styles, we wanted to build a brand that honours heritage craft without compromising the future of our environment. Today, we want to share a little more about how we bring that vision to life through sustainable, small-batch design. 

By focusing on small collections and using remnant tartan, we try to eliminate the waste often associated with fast fashion.

Fast fashion relies on mass production, which inevitably leads to massive textile waste.  By keeping our collections small and intentional, we maintain strict control over our production line. We intentionally work with remnant tartan, making use of beautiful materials that might otherwise be overlooked.

Even with careful planning, the cutting process naturally leaves behind small pieces of fabric. In a standard factory, these offcuts are thrown away. At Antana, they are treated as treasure!  We transform precious tartan remnants into special one-of-a-kind hair accessories, including our popular scrunchies and hair ties. It is a slow, detailed process, but it is one we are deeply proud of because it brings us closer to a true zero-waste process.
