Stewart

Our Stewart collection is inspired by the rich Perthshire landscape where we live. The dark green, muted colours of the elegant hunting tartan are complemented by the beautiful jaal floral design. 

The Stewart Hunting Muted tartan is from The Stewart (or Stuart) clan who are one of the largest and well known as they have several branches (such at Atholl, Appin and Royal) and have a very rich history.

A muted tartan reflects the colour of original tartans and what they were thought to have looked like historically due to the dyes available - such as berries, leaves etc.
